Abstract

The Health FFRDC Operator shall inventory NCATS’s portfolio of rare disease work, identifying themes across programs and evaluating the stakeholder landscape. The Health FFRDC Operator shall investigate gaps or hindrances impeding individual program performance and cross-program collaboration, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth within and across programs. Working closely with NCATS, the Health FFRDC Operator shall assess existing tools, processes, stakeholders, and relationships, developing a comprehensive vision of the current state. Then, together with NCATS and key stakeholders, the Health FFRDC Operator shall craft a framework for a future state that builds upon current strengths and themes to achieve sustainable and effective performance across the rare disease portfolio. Once this vision is established, the Health FFRDC Operator shall then develop a Roadmap for achieving that future state.
