Abstract

Project Summary/Abstract The National Center for In-situ Tomographic Ultramicroscopy (NCITU), based at the New York Structural Biology Center, provides user access and service towards preparing specimens for direct visualization of macromolecular associations and organization, particularly in native cells. A highly qualified technical team provides direct hands-on service, guidance, and assistance to ensure that samples and grids are prepared with the highest quality and in the shortest time possible. We are requesting funds to purchase equipment to upgrade and expand our computational resources and upgrade our Thermo Fisher Scientific (TFS) Aquilos2 for correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM) work. These upgrades will benefit all users of NCITU by increasing the capability and capacity of these instruments.
