Abstract
The purpose of this administrative supplement request is to acquire hardware that will allow us to assemble âAn upgraded experimental hutch vacuum system for improved safety and operations for the BioCAT Facility at the Advanced Photon Source. This new vacuum system will allow us to significantly reduce instrumental backgrounds for all experiments but also to protect both personnel and very expensive equipment from damage due to catastrophic failure of the evacuated flight paths in the SAXS instrument.
