Abstract
Project Summary The Rhode Island IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (RI-INBRE) program is to enhance the capacity for biomedical research at institutions and broaden student training opportunities in Rhode Island. This is achieved through support for faculty development and hands-on training with instruments. To further these goals, an administrative supplement is being requested for funding of Monolith X instrument for the RI-INBRE Centralized Research Core Facility (CRCF). The addition of Monolith X will complement the existing Biacore T200 Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) instrument and enable entry- and medium-level users to access experiment data easily and fast. Additionally, the limited availability of Monolith X instruments in the state has resulted in a bottleneck for the research community.
