Abstract

This ‘Research Supplement to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research’ will support April Lopez in the next 2.5 years while she’s earning a doctoral degree in Biology. Ms. Lopez will conduct research in the Molecular Vector Physiology Laboratory at New Mexico State University on the olfactory physiology of blood-sucking arthropod disease vectors. At the end of her training, she will be an extremely competitive candidate for positions in academia and industry.
