Abstract

We have been integrating computational approaches and cutting-edge high-throughput methods to assess changes in the epigenome, transcriptome, and proteome throughout the course of COVID-19 disease. We also have been applying similar approaches to study the responses of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines in both the healthy and the pregnant populations. Using CITE-seq, we simultaneously interrogate the immune cell surface proteome, transcriptome, and B-cell receptor (BCR)/T-cell receptor (TCR) repertoire at the single cell level of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) over the course of infection and post recovery. During the past year, our efforts have been focusing on: 1) the responses to the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine; 2) comparative analysis of COVID-19 and MISC in children; 3) studying how prior mild COVID-19 may impact the immune system in antigen-agnostic ways.
