Abstract
Progress: Sars-Cov-2 project: We have started our experiments by developing the LPS lung injury model by administering LPS intratracheally. We are using male and female mice, including WT and ACE2 Transgenic mice. At this stage we are imaging the lung infiltrates and assessing ACE2 levels in the various groups by western and real time qPCR. We are hoping to perform a detailed analysis of all the experiments in a few months. HIV project: We are in the stage of optimizing our animal model of Gp120 expressing HEK293 tumors implanted in nude mice in comparison to wild type tumors. We have validated and labeled multiple nanobodies against GP120 with 18F and started PET imaging. Results are pending. Ebola and other high consequence viral infection: We are collaborating with the Integrated research facility on multiple studies evaluating Nipah, Lassa, Marburg, Covid-19 and Ebola infections.
