Abstract

For this project, the project team developed six unique primary assays for the methyltransferases (MTase) NNMT, PNMT, COMT, HNMT, GNMT, and GAMT. ETB scientists have developed a counter-assay using the Methyltransferase Glo kit from Promega, and to date have screened over 27,000 compounds from Genesis MiniMe, NPACT, MTase library, LOPAC, and the Epigenetic Collection to build the activity profiles for each MTase. The project team is also in the process of developing an orthogonal assay using LC-MS to further validate hits of interest.
