Abstract

The Coordinating Center shall provide coordination as needed for pilot research projects in tribal communities, which will be funded as subcontracts and administered by the FCs. These exploratory, initial feasibility pilot studies will be conducted within the tribal communities of each FC. It is intended that the pilot data generated by these exploratory projects, if promising, will serve as a basis for more extensive follow-up investigations supported via investigator-initiated research grants.
