Abstract

The Contractor shall implement a program to support community-based pilot research projects that align with the scientific mission of the NHLBI. These exploratory, initial feasibility pilot studies must be conducted within the tribal communities of the Field Center. It is intended that the pilot data generated by these exploratory projects, if promising, will serve as a basis for more extensive follow-up investigations supported via investigator-initiated research grants.
