Abstract

The protocol re-initiated recruitment in 2020, after it had been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Recruitment has continued uninterrupted through 2021. As of September of 2021, nineteen participants have completed the study. No serious adverse events have been documented so far. Sample collection has taken place as planned. The study had its initial review by the Data Safety Monitoring Board, which approved its continuation. In the next fiscal year, the plan is to complete recruitment of the initial cohort of 40 patients and to initiate sample processing.
