Abstract

In this past year both the BRADS program and the physical repository have been quite active. The BRADS Committee has evaluated and approved two new requests for data, one from an international group. The physical repository is transitioning to accommodate two models of storage: one dedicated to the NICHD DASH data and specimen sharing effort, and the other to provide services for the Division of Intramural Population Health Research and the Maternal and Pediatric Infectious Disease Branch to conduct ongoing studies. In the next year, DIPHR will have the repository house two new major studies, and dissemination of currently housed specimens to test new hypotheses continues to be robust. The repository continues to improve services to allow a seamless interface with the NICHD DASH datasharing site and to manage all specimen collections. All of these endeavors have a common goal: to generate multiple resources for investigators that ensure DIPHR conducts the best possible research.
