Abstract
For FY20/21, we determined the structures of chromatosomes containing different linker histone isoforms at atomic resolution. The high resolution structure allows us to identify key features of the chromatosomes. We also determined the structure of the budding yeast centromeric nucleosome core particle with the native CEN3 DNA and the centromeric nucleosome bound to CBF3core complex, which provides insights into the recruitment of centromeric histone variant Cse4 to form the centromeric nucleosome.
