Abstract
In FY 2021, we investigated hot-spots of HPV integration into the human genome in cervical cancer and oropharyngeal cancers. Using a combination of chromatin analyses with in silico techniques, we have characterized the chromatin and genomic landscape of HPV integration sites in cervical and oropharyngeal cancers. We identify both common fragile sites and super-enhancers as frequent regions of HPV integration. These studies provide insight into mechanisms of HPV replication, HPV integration and oncogenesis, and help design therapeutic interventions.
