Abstract
Accomplishments during the year: 1. Develop an adjunctive therapy for children with cerebral malaria. This study has included the unique discovery of CD8 positive T cells in children who died of cerebral malaria. We are also working with DON available from NCI, the adjunctive therapy. We plan to obtain formulation and fill of the DON at the Univ. of Iowa. Dr. Doug Postels reeived a grant to fund the study in children with cerebral malaria.
