Abstract
The DREAM study began on 9/16/2019. 5 drugs have been tested for their ability to lower the risk of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). These drugs are commonly used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Encouraging results from one of the drugs tested are being confirmed through parallel validation experiments in cell culture based assays. The next set of analyses will test commonly used anti-hypertensive and anti-asthma drugs. Due to delays arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, a no-cost extension of 9-months has been granted to allow for the completion of proposed analyses of 20 candidate drugs.
