Modulators of RPS14 with broad antiviral activity

Abstract

This collaborative team aims to build on previous research by uncovering novel modulators of RPS14. Emetine, for example, binds to RPS14 exhibits broad antiviral activity. During this period, the collaborative team has identified candidate RPS14 binders using a virtual screening approach. Molecules were tested for RPS14 binding using biophysical approaches and activity was assessed in adenovirus replication assays. The team will pursue structural studies and design reagents to confirm an on-target mechanism of action.
