Abstract
Sars-Cov-2 project: We have started our experiments by developing the LPS lung injury model by administering LPS intratracheally. We are using male and female mice, including WT and ACE2 Transgenic mice. At this stage we are imaging the lung infiltrates and assessing ACE2 levels in the various groups by western and real-time qPCR. We are hoping to perform a detailed analysis of all the experiments in a few months. HIV project: The work has not been started yet. A protocol was submitted to ACUC and approved. We are planning on starting the animal models development soon. We are also awaiting the synthesis and affinity evaluation of multiple nanobodies against GP120. Ebola and other high consequence viral infections: We are collaborating with the Integrated research facility on multiple studies evaluating Marburg and Ebola infections.
