Abstract
In November 2020, the AGM program conducted its first virtual Assay Guidance Workshop for High-Throughput Screening and Lead Discovery. This was a 2-day workshop, and all 18 talks were recorded, edited, captioned, and made available online as educational resources. Our team of AGM editors was expanded to include 3 new editorial board members. SLAS Discovery and SLAS Technology will publish a Special Issue/Collection which will be focusing on the Assay Guidance Workshop for High-Throughput Screening and Lead Discovery. Members of the AGM editorial board are guest editors for this Special Issue/Collection; 10 manuscripts are already accepted and 4 are under review. The AGM program has organized its first application-focused workshop on DNA-Encoded Libraries for Lead Discovery which will be held virtually on September 1-2, 2021. A second topic-focused workshop on cell-based assays is under construction and will be held in November. The AGM program has recruited an advisory subgroup/subcommittee of 15 experts in antibody therapeutics including 10 distinguished scientists that are not currently in the AGM editorial board to help build the table of contents (TOC) of this section. A near final TOC which contains the most relevant chapters to be included in this new section has been developed. New Assay Guidance Manual chapters added this year: Analyzing Kinetic Binding Data. Sam R.J. Hoare. April 1, 2021; Pluripotent Stem Cell Culture Scale-Out. Debra L. Johnson, Robert Scott, and Rhonda Newman. June 1, 2021; Apoptosis Marker Assays for HTS. Terry L. Riss, PhD, Martha A. OBrien, PhD, Richard A. Moravec, BS, Kevin Kupcho, BS, and Andrew L. Niles, MS. July 1, 2021. Multiple short educational videos were added throughout the e-Book with the addition of these new chapters.
