Abstract

1. Project on informed consent and therapeutic misconception. There are no new publications to report. For the time being, this project will be on hold. 2. Project on ethics of pain research on persons with intellectual disabilities. The project was initiated this summer and we anticipate completion of at least one paper during this upcoming year. We will form collaborations with pain researchers and will use the framework developed by Emanuel et al to analyze the ethical issues in such research protocols.
