Abstract

We have produced and purified the recombinant protein domain of FIP200 and two known cargo receptor binding sites in bacterial culture. Correct protein structure and folding were determined with dynamic light scattering. We have also demonstrated in vitro activity of the domain to bind a domain of a known interacting protein using microscale thermophoresis. We are currently performing structural characterization of the domain and partners to identify binding sites for small molecule ligands. In the next period, we will initiate a drug screening efforts to identify small molecule ligands of FIP200.
