Abstract

ORISE and the NCI shall work to provide extensive analysis and interpretation of routine and descriptive cancer statistics, projections of future cancer burden and estimations of attributable causes of cancer. NCI will work with ORISE to offer a high-level sense familiarity with standard techniques and novel bio statistical models, namely the age-period-cohort models. The partnership afforded by the NCI and ORISE offers the unique ability to apply these models to cancer incidence and mortality as well as to forecast the future burden of cancer.
