Abstract

CD45 is a transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatase that possesses two phosphatase cores in the cytoplasmic portion and "receptor-like" domain in the extracellular portion. So far, there is no structural information on this family of protein tyrosine phosphatase. CD45 plays a key role in the signal transduction pathway mediated through T cell antigen receptor.
