Abstract

The Memphis VA CCN will be responsible for meeting study-wide goals to recruit women and specific minorities (African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, and Asians), as well as satisfying study-wide goals to recruit patients with CVD, stage 3 CKD, and other approved CVD risk factors. The VA CCN will be further responsible for achieving the goals specified in the protocol for adherence to study treatment and retention of study participants. The CCN will have the primary responsibility for timely evaluation and correction of recruitment, adher-ence, and retention problems, including development and implementation of alternative strat-egies to achieve the stipulated goals, and funding the related activities.
