Abstract
PROJECT SUMMARY (See instructions): The CCHVP Administrative Core will be responsible for overall grant administration The primary objectives of the Administrative Core are to 1. Guide, coordinate and aJJocate Center and University resources 2. Manage three mid-level research projects 3. Maximize scholariy productivity and dissemination Five specific aims will foster timely achievement of the objectives . Aim 1. To provide administrative and mentoring support to all Center investigators; Aim 2. To utilize a committee structure to implement a Center-wide evaluation plan; Aim 3: To ensure effective and efficient allocation of funds and use of the Center and University facilities and resources Aim 4. To promote collaboration among Center Faculty and between the Center Cores to maximize scientific productivity; Aim 5. To develop and maintain: a database of funded projects and linked resources, an intervention and dissemination materials library, and a Center-specific website to maximize communication and coordination of Center activities and resources. The Center Directors, assisted by a full-time project coordinator, will direct the Administrative Core. An Executive Committee and an External Advisory Committee will contribute to the operation of the Administrative Core and achievement of the Core Aims. The Executive Committee will ensure coordination of Center functions. The External Advisory Committee will evaluate and advise on the research programs of the Center, the effectiveness of Center operations, and the Center's progress toward meeting its goals.
